Each choir is requested to perform two or three selections including at least one folk song and a selection from classic children's choir repertoire.

Choirs may use choreography with any of their two or three selections. Students performing choreography are required to be singing with their group.

Musical selections should be appropriate for children's choirs and may be performed in unison or in part-singing.

Solos in pieces are allowed.

All songs must be accompanied with piano or unaccompanied. Choirs may have a flute, recorder, or similar instrumental accompaniment as indicated on the octavo.

Pre-recorded accompaniments are not allowed.

Each group's performance will be limited to 15 minutes which includes entering and exiting the stage.

Original copies of music, with measures numbered in pencil, should be provided to the two judges.

Instrumental ensembles may perform two to four published arrangements.

Original pieces may be performed upon request.

Instrumental groups will have 15 minutes to set up, 10 minutes to warm up, 15 minutes to perform, and 5 minutes to strike down.

Two choral and instrumental judges will give each ensemble positive, encouraging comments about their performance.

These comments will help the director and the ensemble improve their vocal and performance skills.
